MEET JOSEPH
A tax firm shaped by real-world experience.
Joseph Anthony Mayo spent 12 years in food and beverage management and multi-unit operations in New York City and Connecticut, where he learned the value of clear systems, strong communication, and excellent service.
After being furloughed during COVID-19, he turned to self-employment to continue providing for his family and quickly experienced firsthand how confusing self-employed taxes can be. He studied tax preparation and launched his own virtual tax firm in 2021.
Today, Joseph serves taxpayers, mentors seven tax professionals across the U.S., and lives in Northern Arizona with his wife and three children.
His goal is to make Stewardship Tax a trusted source of clarity and financial wisdom so clients can make wiser decisions and faithfully steward the resources entrusted to them.
